WHAT IS MINISTRY PRACTICUM?
The Bible states that we are to be "Doers" of the Word unless we deceive ourselves," (James 1:22). You are a "Doer" of the Word when you do what the Word tells you to do. Many people do things they really don't believe, but when you believe in something, you do it.
The purpose of the ministry practicum is to encourage our Discipleship School students in Program One to develop in ministry and to gain valuable and practical experience serving each other, in a local church or at our Discipleship School. This will entail, cleaning, cooking, helping with events such as Program Two, assisting the Instructors, Outreach, or wherever there is a need in the Ministry.
Students learn to integrate what they learn in the classroom with practicum experience. This involvement allows students first hand experience in the ministry and leadership in a local church setting.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45
