The Power In You!

Dernière mise à jour : 9 mars 2022

Ephesians 3:20 "Now to Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think, according to the power that works in us." In the previous verse in Ephesians 3:19, the Apostle Paul prayed that the believer would be filled with all the fullness of Christ.

How can something so far above us ever become reality? It can only happen because God is able to do far beyond what we ask or think, but the verse does not end there, he said "According to the power that works in us." God's part is easy, He is able. God is waiting for us to do our part, according to the power that works in every born-again believer. These words "according to" means to be in conformity with, it also means to depend on. When Paul prayed that we be filled with all the fullness of Christ, that is the power that works in us, but a cup cannot fill itself on it's own! The fullness of Christ does not fall on us from heaven. Jesus Christ takes up permanent residency in the spirit of every born-again believer, but we cannot treat His residency in us like a temporary professional visit. When a medical student does a residency program, they have to do the work.

Christ in us, the hope of glory works "with us," and "alongside of us," according to the power that works in us, through a renewed mind, working together with His Holy Spirit to guide us and lead us into all truth. God's ability is boundless, but we will only experience His glory in our lives to the degree that we allow and position ourselves for His power to work in us.

God Bless You!
